LGT is situated in the South Shropshire Hills, and some of the roads around the venue are considered narrow, however each week I drive our boxer van towing a caravan to and from the house, which has a total length of over 36feet, without a problem.

LGT Postcode is SY50SR - Please note that certain satellite navigation systems do not recognise the postcode as house specific, and may take you to Ratlinghope Church. From here all you need to do is go along the road about 150yeards (back through the farmyard) and turn left (signposted CHURCH STRETTON), which heads up the Longmynd. Once you go over the cattle grid turn immediate right down the track. LGT is at the end of this track.

Not advised in extreme Ice or Snow

The quickest route is to use the A49 from either Shrewsbury or Hereford direction and travel to Church Stretton. From Here you need to turn off the A49 at the traffic lights (if travelling south turn Right, if travelling north turn Left) and follow the road up to the top of the high street where you will reach a cross roads. Go straight over (HSBC on left) and follow this road through some trees and over a cattle grid. The road goes up steeply. Follow this road for about 2 miles, and when you reach the top the road forks. Bear right and follow this road for about another 2 miles until just before you reach another cattle grid. The track to the left of you is where you need to follow, but it is necessary to turn around before you can drive down the track (there is plenty of room as there is also a tarmac road to the right which you can use to back into) 

Alternative Route avoiding Burway from Marshbrook (A49): Over level crossing and follow road until you reach a T-Junction. Turn Right and follow road until you reach the third turning on your right (S/P Norbury / Inn on the Green) Follow this road until you come to the fifth turning on right S/P Church Stretton. Follow this road past YHA and over a humpback bridge and take second turn on right S/P Church Stretton. Follow this road over cattle grid and turn immediate right down the track.

From Shrewsbury not using A49/Burway: Follow Longdon Road out past Meol Brace School and Nuffield hospital. Continue along this road for bout 13miles. Once over Cothercott Hill look out for a minor Post Office and BT Box on right. Take next Left turn. Bear left at fork and follow this road past YHA and over a humpback bridge and take second turn on right S/P Church Stretton. Follow this road over cattle grid and turn immediate right down the track.

From the East– Use M6, M54 and A5 to Shrewsbury.

From the North – Use M56, M53, A483 and A5 to get to Shrewsbury

From the South – Use M40, M42, M6, M54 and A5 to get to Shrewsbury

From the West – Use A49 to get to Church Stretton

From the South West – Use M5, A44, A49 to get to Church Stretton
